I thought I reviewed this place already but for some reason it's not showing up. I don't usually visit chains I don't like chain restaurants, but we were so impressed with Dukes that we came here for breakfast and then lunch and then we tried dinner. I'll try to find my pictures and post them. The bartenders here are very caring and listen to what you like. I didn't like too sweet so they tweaked my drink.

This restaurant is very fun. The services is excellent and they try to help everyone that comes to the host desk or the bar. The ambiance is outstanding, practically right on the beach, and on the grounds of the resort. The food was decent, but would go somewhere else if you are looking for a real Hawai'i food experience. The eggs Benedict was okay, but was very lemony. And the calamari was over cooked (lots of burnt panko).

A classic Maui spot! We came as a family and ordered a number of different items that were all pretty solid. Service was very good and the vibes on the beach at sunset were hard to beat. Food is good but not over the top amazing and portions were pretty small which is why the 4 stars, but I'd still come back!

We enjoyed a late lunch at Duke's recently and really enjoyed the experience. Location is great, with a clear view of the ocean. The menu had a variety of fresh seafood and more traditional options. The fish tacos and fish sandwich were both delicious, as were the calamari. Price wise, it was similar to restaurants in the nearby hotels, but I would say the quality was significantly better. Our server was friendly and attentive - no complaints there.

Always love dukes. Have been here so many times but finally remembered to write a review. We've stayed at the honua kai where this restaurant is located, so it's always been a favorite spot for lunch. We always get the kalua pork nachos to share--usually well loaded with cheese, salsa, black beans, green onions, and kalua pork as well as some pickled carrots and jalapeños. So delicious and enough to share. Kids got burgers and fries--their fries are hot and crispy outside with soft interior. And of course must top it all of with a giant slice of hula pie. Will 100% be back if ever in the area. Service is always fast and friendly too.

Went for dinner and breakfast. I would say dinner is worth it, but breakfast not as much. Some highlights for dinner are the crab rangoons, the Furikake ahi steak, and the giant hula pie is always a classic. Duke's service is decent, but the best thing about it is probably the 180 degree ocean/scenic view it provides.

As a California girl, Duke's has always been part of special occasions and memorable meals. I grew up going to the one in Malibu. Needless to say, there's a certain level of expectation when coming here, I've now been to this location twice and the one in Kauai as well. Every time, it hits just under the mark. Maybe it's the prices that make everything taste a little less than incredible. Drinks: 3 out of 5. For the price, they are sweet and small, not impressive but fun for 1 round. Food: 3 out of 5. It should simply be better. I had a Mac nut crusted catch of the day for $42. That should be unreal! It was just fine. Needed a sauce. It was dry. The wedge was great though! Ambience: 5 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5 So, that puts them at a 4 star rating. I would love to go back and be wowed, but I'm not sure I'll be visiting again.

Fresh delicious seafood with a view all with a nice price tag. This is the only restaurant onsite at Outrigger Honua Kai Resort & Spa serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate here our first day for lunch out of convenience after just landing a couple of hours before. We were quickly seated and attended to momentarily after. I wanted something light and refreshing so I ordered the Waipoli Farms Cesar with Chicken, this was alright. Overly lemony dressing and super bland chicken. My son got the Kalua Pork Sandwich which was excellent. Highly recommend that! (Wish I would've chosen that) My daughter got the Fish and Chips; freshly fried fish yet not giving you that heavy feeling after finishing your meal. Would've have been perfect if not slightly over fried leaving the fish a tad dry. Lastly, our toddler got the Keiki Teriyaki Chicken and once again another bland piece of chicken with a bottle of teriyaki sauce poured over it seemed. Terribly disappointed. To drink each of our teens got the POG Slushie and loved those. Overall, I'm sure if we all chose seafood dishes or local Hawaiian meals we would have been more satisfied. However, ALL dishes on a restaurants menu should be just as delicious as the next for anyone especially given how much each of our meals are costing.
